The mission of DesMoinesArts is to create permanent affordable space for the local arts in downtown Des Moines by preserving one or more buildings that:
Establishes a possible home for the Des Moines Social Club;
Provides a collaborative work environment for artists of all disciplines;
Engages the public through production, exhibition, sale and discussion of local art;
Creates a catalyst for sustainable redevelopment with a goal of LEED certification; and
Strengthens Des Moines's reputation as a city known for its support of the arts.
